The (9-1) Florida State Seminoles remain atop the ACC conference after their 28-22 road victory against conference foe Virginia Tech Hokies.
However, with their only loss being in conference play, the Seminoles are tied for first place in the ACC conference with the Clemson Tigers. But the Seminoles control their destiny to the conference title game, because of their head-to-head victory over their divisional rivals.
With just two games remaining for Florida State and only one conference game, the Seminoles can make way into the conference title game with a victory next week against ACC opponent Maryland. If the Seminoles drop that game, they will need Clemson to lose to North Carolina State.
In the ACC - Coastal, the Miami Hurricanes and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are tied for first place. The Hurricanes will have a date against the Seminoles, if there is a tie in conference record, because they also own the tiebreaker.
