Here's a quick recap of college basketball teams from Florida in action last night:

Florida State 95, Buffalo 65

The Florida State Seminoles started the season with a disappointing loss to South Alabama but rebounded against the Buffalo Bulls at home last night. They bested Buffalo with excellent shooting, including 59.6 percent from the field and 55.6 percent from three point range. Michael Snaer led Florida State in scoring with 19 points after putting up just three in the first half. Okaro White finished with 13 points and didn't miss a shot. Florida State also forced 25 Bulls turnovers, including 12 steals.

Memphis 81, North Florida 66

Despite a second half flurry from the North Florida Ospreys, they couldn't overcome a 47-25 deficit to the Memphis Tigers at the break. Jerron Granberry finished with 19 points for North Florida in the loss. Memphis dominated North Florida on the boards, out-rebounding the Ospreys 45 to 30. Tarik Black led the Tigers in scoring with 19 points; he also chipped in seven rebounds.
