Magic point guard Jameer Nelson will miss his sixth consecutive game when the Orlando Magic host the New York Knicks Tuesday night, according to Brian Serra of Magic Basketball Online. Nelson has played in just one game this season, a Magic victory over the Denver Nuggets. Nelson had nine points, seven assists and four rebounds in that game.
E'Twaun Moore has started started the last five games. On the year, Moore has averaged 13.5 points per game on 44.6% shooting from the field (50.0% from beyond the arc - #3'Twaun!) while grabbing 4.0 rebounds and dishing out 3.5 assists per game.
Moore appears to be a capable backup, but with Moore starting, Ish Smith has become the backup and that's been nothing short of a disaster. Smith is averaged 0.7 points per game on just 12.5% shooting from the field. He hasn't made a three-pointer on the season and dishing out 2.3 assists and grabbing 2.0 rebounds per game.
