Florida State quarterback E.J. Manuel accepted an invitation on Wednesday to play in the 2013 Senior Bowl, according to the game's Twitter page. Manuel will be joined by FSU teammate Everett Dawkins. The announcement was part of a big day for Manuel, who was also named a finalist for the Johnny Unitas award, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

The Senior Bowl will take place in Mobile, Ala. on Jan. 26 at 4:00 p.m. ET, and will be broadcast on the NFL Network. It's traditionally one of the nation's top showcases for NFL-bound college athletes. Players will meet with league coaches and player representatives throughout the preceding week in an attempt to get more comfortable with the NFL game.

Manuel has led the Seminoles to a 9-1 record and the brink of an ACC Atlantic Division title. He's thrown for 2,641 yards, 19 touchdowns and only five interceptions. Florida State travels to Maryland this weekend and would clinch a spot in the ACC Championship Game with a win.
