College Basketball Scores: Jacksonville edges Missouri State

The Dolphins and Hatters picked up wins Monday.

Keith McDougald scored 17 points to lead the Jacksonville Dolphins to a 64-58 win over the Missouri State Bears on Monday night.

McDougald was the game's leading scorer. The junior guard also had five rebounds and a steal. Through four games, McDougald leads the team with 11 points per game.

The Dolphins improved to 2-2 with the win. Missouri State fell to 1-2.

Glenn Powell helped the Dolphins' offense with 10 points and a team-high eight rebounds. Kordario Fleming added seven points, five rebounds and five assists.

Anthony Downing scored a team-high 15 points for the Bears. He also had five rebounds, two assists and two steals. Drew Wilson added four points and nine rebounds.

Jacksonville is back in action Wednesday at Little Rock.

Stetson defeats Southeastern College, 81-59

Chris Perez scored a game-high 20 points to help the Hatters to an 81-59 win over Southeastern College on Monday night. He also had six rebounds, two assists and two steals. He was 8-for-10 from the free throw line.

Adam Pegg added 14 points and four rebounds for the Hatters. Joel Naburgs had 13 points and five rebounds.

Stetson held Southeastern to just 13 first-half points, and scored 49 itself in the second half. It improved to 2-1 with the win.

Stetson hosts South Florida on Monday at 7 p.m.
