Thursday's college basketball schedule has a number of Florida teams in action, with the Florida Gators taking on the Marquette Golden Eagles front and center.
Marquette at Florida - The Gators enter the game at 5-0, most recently posting a 79-66 win over the Central Florida Knights. 5-1 Marquette is the first game of a tough three-game stretch for Florida, who go on to face the Florida St. Seminoles and the No. 9 Arizona Wildcats. Tipoff is 9 p.m. and the game can be seen on ESPN2.
Florida A&M Rattlers at North Florida Ospreys - The Rattlers are off to a rough start, losing their first five before taking a 69-55 win against the Presbyterian Blue Hose. North Florida isn't faring much better at 2-4, but the 70.7 points per game Florida A&M is averaging is a bit better than the 64.2 per game the Ospreys are putting up. Tipoff is 7 p.m.
South Alabama Jaguars at Florida Atlantic Owls - The Owls and the Jaguars both stand at 2-3, but South Alabama averages nearly 13 more points per game than FAU. After facing South Alabama the Owls take on the Arkansas St. Red Wolves, so they have an opportunity to gain some points in the Sun Belt standings if they can put together some wins. Tipoff against the Jaguars is 7 p.m.
Arkansas St. Red Wolves at Florida International Golden Panthers - At 4-1, the Red Wolves are already near the top of the Sun Belt standings, and at 1-2 the Golden Panthers have plenty of room to improve. There's no better time to start than Thursday night, where FIU can follow up their first win of the season with another against a divisional opponent. Tipoff is 7:30 p.m.
