Florida received a scare from Missouri on Saturday, but the Gators held on for a 14-7 win. With the victory, Florida moved up one spot to No. 6 in this week's BCS standings.
Florida State was off this weekend, but the Seminoles also improved in the standings, jumping from No. 12 to No. 10. The Gators and Seminoles have combined for 16 wins and two losses this season, and the teams are on a path toward a colossal matchup at FSU's Doak Campbell Stadium in the regular-season finale on Nov. 24. If the Gators and Seminoles keep winning, they could square off as top-10 teams for the first time since the 2000 season.
Florida is one of seven SEC teams -- four in the top 10 -- ranked this week. The Gators are joined by No. 1 Alabama, No. 5 Georgia, No. 7 LSU, No. 8 South Carolina, No. 15 Texas A&M and No. 21 Mississippi State.
One other ACC team is ranked, No. 12 Clemson.
Kansas State is ranked No. 2 for the second straight week. Oregon leapfrogged Notre Dame to take over the No. 3 spot.
