Both Florida basketball teams were in action last night. The Miami Heat handily defeated the Brooklyn Nets 103-73, while the Orlando Magic fell to Minnesota Timberwolves 90-75.
Dwyane Wade led all Heat players with 22 points, while LeBron James added 20 points and 12 rebounds. J.J. Redick had the best scoring night for the Magic, scoring 16 points off the bench.
The NBA had lots of action last night, with 26 of the 30 teams in play. The Los Angeles Clippers gave the San Antonio Spurs their first loss of the season, winning 106-84. That leaves the New York Knicks as the final undefeated team left in the NBA.
All five teams in the Southeast Division played last night. The Atlanta Hawks beat the Indiana Pacers 89-86 to move to 2-1 on the season. The Charlotte Bobcats lost to the Phoenix Suns 117-110, while the Washington Wizards fell to the Boston Celtics 100-94.
The Los Angeles Lakers continue to struggle early, losing 95-86 to the Utah Jazz. The Lakers are now 1-4 on the season and last in the Western Conference.
