Colts vs. Jaguars score update: Indianapolis up 3-0 after first quarter

In the first quarter both teams managed a drive into the opposing team's territory and both were forced to a field goal. However, Adam Vinatieri of the Colts managed to make his 31-yard field goal to put the road team up 3-0, while Josh Scobee's 44-yard attempt went wide right.

Similar to their Week 9 loss to the Lions, the Jaguars began the game with two consecutive three-and-outs before finally managing a drive into Colts territory on their third drive. The drive was aided by the play of Marcedes Lewis who had three receptions for 36 yards in the first quarter.

The Jaguars gave up several first downs to the Andrew Luck-led offense in the first quarter, but managed to stop the Colts from scoring with a sack from Tyson Alualu in the red zone on third down to force a Vinatieri field goal. Late in the quarter Luck appeared to throw an interception, but a roughing the passer penalty on Terrance Knighton extended the drive.
