Tampa Bay Buccaneers injuries: Da'Quan Bowers and Jamon Meredith miss practice

On the whole, the Bucs are the healthiest they've been all season.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers got good news when the injury report came out Wednesday. Only two Bucs missed practice, while many of their previously-injured players returned to full participation. According to 620 WDAE radio, defensive end Da’Quan Bowers (hamstring) and guard Jamon Meredith (ankle) missed Wednesday's practice. Bowers, however, had a family issue and the team "is hopeful to have him back on Thursday." Both players played against Philadelphia last week.

In the meantime, defensive end Michael Bennett (shoulder), cornerback Anthony Gaitor (hamstring), cornerback LeQuan Lewis (knee) and defensive tackle Roy Miller (head) were all full participants at practice. Bennett leads the team with nine sacks on the year. Miller has 13 tackles but missed last week's game against Philadelphia. Lewis and Gaitor have seen little action in 2012. Lewis missed last week's game against the Eagles, while Gaitor made his 2012 debut in the same game.

Tampa Bay travels to New Orleans on Sunday. The Buccaneers are two games behind in the NFC Wild Card race.
