Bucs vs. Saints: 6 Saints miss practice Wednesday

The team's third-highest tackler and third-highest rusher are among the inactives.

Six New Orleans Saints players missed practice Wednesday, according to Nakia Hogan of the New Orleans Times-Picayune. The injured players included offensive tackle Charles Brown (knee), running back Chris Ivory (hamstring), cornerback Corey White (knee), offensive tackle Zach Strief (ankle), fullback Jed Collins (toe) and safety Malcolm Jenkins (hamstring). Their statuses remain uncertain for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay.

Of the six injured players, Jenkins and Ivory have had the most impact for the Saints this season. Jenkins is third on the team with 94 tackles on the year, and has also collected an interception. Ivory, meanwhile, is third on the team in rushing with 195 yards and two touchdowns. Collins has caught 12 passes out of the backfield, but lost a fumble in last week's loss to the Giants. White has sat out the last two weeks.

The Saints currently sit at 5-8 and are all but out of the playoff hunt. Tampa Bay can keep its slim playoff hopes alive with a win Sunday.
