Central Michigan defensive back Jahleel Addae accepted an invitation Monday to play in the 2013 East-West Shrine Game. Addae appeared in all 12 games for the Chippewas in 2012 and finished the regular season with 81 tackles, which ranks fourth on the team. He also intercepted four passes.
He made 107 tackles and intercepted four passes as a junior in 2011, which earned him first team All-MAC honors. He received second team honors this year. Addae has been a contributor since his redshirt freshman season, though he began his career primarily as a special teams player. He's appeared in 50 games over the course of his career and has nearly 300 tackles.
Addae is considered one of the top 10 strong safeties in the 2013 NFL Draft class, according to NFL Draft Scout.
The 2013 Shrine Game is scheduled for Jan. 19 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. The game will begin at 4 p.m. ET and the NFL Network will televise it.
