Could J.J. Redick be adopting the celebration of one of wrestling's most famous competitors? Or is it just another prank Redick is pulling on the media and fans?
After a three-pointer against the Charlotte Bobcats, Redick ran back down the court, threw both arms back and yelled "woooo," Flair's signature celebration. Redick said at a shoot-around he was taking cues from Chris Duhon and Quentin Richardson's air guitar and windmill celebration from last season.
Redick laughed during parts of his interview with the media, leading to speculation he was joking around. Redick had previously played along with the media when reports had surfaced he was considering coming out with a rap album a few seasons ago.
Redick will get a couple chances to show off his three-point celebration this week. The 11-13 Orlando Magic have won three straight games and stay at home to face one of the NBA's worst teams, the Washington Wizards, on Wednesday before heading north of the border to face the Toronto Raptors on Friday.
