The Miami Dolphins still have playoff hopes, although they're very slim. First, they need to win both of their remaining games starting with the Buffalo Bills this Sunday. Then they need a lot of help from the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers if they want to make it to the postseason. But the Dolphins might have to take on the Bills without Davone Bess, who missed practice with a back injury Wednesday. Bess missed last week's win over the Jacksonville Jaguars with the same injury issue.
Linebacker Koa Misi sat out of Wednesday's practice with an ankle injury, the same one that caused him to miss last week's game. Cornerback Nolan Carroll also sat out of practice on Wednesday with a knee injury. Wide receiver Brian Hartline was listed as limited with a back injury. Hartline was active for last week's game with the injury.
Back-up running back Daniel Thomas was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury Wednesday, ending his 2012 campaign.
