Florida Prospects Shine at Resurrection Fighting

Two florida based fighters fought Friday night at the Resurrection Fighting Alliance and their stars continued to rise with solid wins.

Blackzilians fighter Kamarudeen Usman made his pro debut on this card. A DII wrestling star, Usman was matched against David Glover, also making his pro debut. Usman showed off good takedowns, getting the fight to the mat several times and then in the second round he was able to let go with his hands. Usman had Glover backing up and trapped him against the fence and finished the fight with strikes.

The Blackzilian coaching staff is extremely pleased with the fight and the progress Usman has shown with his striking in a short time of training. And so was Usamn, here is his take on the fight from Blackzilians.com

"This win feels amazing, I felt great in there and I am definitely blessed to able to showcase all the hard work with my team the Blackzilians," said Usman. "RFA did a great job with the show, I've been following them for a while now and they have done a phenomenal job growing the fights."

Also on the card was American Top Team fighter Mirsad Bektic. Listed as a prospect to watch by Inside MMA, this Bosnian born fighter has heavy hands and is developing into a feared striker. Bektic faced Doug Jenkins and put those hands on display, along with his evolving grappling skills in a solid decision win.
