Twenty-one New England Patriots were listed as limited participants in practice this week, according to Comcast Sports Net. The limited participants included safety Patrick Chung (shoulder/hamstring), cornerback Marquice Cole (finger), guard Dan Connolly (back), cornerback Alfonzo Dennard (hamstring/knee), defensive back Nate Ebner (hamstring), tight end Rob Gronkowski (forearm/hip), tight end Aaron Hernandez (ankle), linebacker Dont'a Hightower (hamstring/shoulder), defensive end Chandler Jones (ankle), wide receiver Brandon Lloyd (knee), defensive tackle Kyle Love (knee), guard Logan Mankins (ankle/calf), linebacker Jerod Mayo (elbow), offensive lineman Nick McDonald (shoulder), linebacker Mike Rivera (ankle), tackle Nate Solder (abdomen), linebacker Brandon Spikes (knee), cornerback Aqib Talib (hip), tackle Sebastian Vollmer (back/knee), wide receiver Wes Welker (ankle) and linebacker Tracy White (elbow). The Patriots conclude the regular season against the Dolphins on Sunday.
Of those on the team injury report, Welker has 110 catches for 1,260 yards and 5 touchdowns this season. He leads the team in both yards and receptions. Welker played Sunday against Jacksonville, and it seems unlikely he'll miss the season finale.
New England has clinched the AFC East title. The Patriots can clinch a first-round bye with a win against Miami and a loss by either Denver or Houston. They can clinch home-field advantage in the AFC with a win against Miami and losses by both the Broncos and Texans.
