College basketball schedule: Jacksonville set to take on No. 5 Hoosiers

The Jacksonville Dolphins' tussle with the No. 5 Indiana Hoosiers is clearly the highlight of the local college basketball action Friday as the two teams square off from the Hoosiers' Assembly Hall in a primetime meeting. The UCF Golden Knights are also in action against the Howard Bison.

The Hoosiers might look to their meeting with the sub-.500 Dolphins as a tune up, but Indiana hasn't hit the court in a week, and will certainly use this game as a way to shake the rust off.

Against a tough Jacksonville squad led by freshman Jarvis Haywood, the Hoosiers will be tested as they try to avoid a second loss on the season to an unranked team.

Howard Bison vs. UCF Golden Knights at 7 p.m. ET

The UCF Holiday Classic features its marquee team taking on a 3-10 Howard squad in the first of two games from the UCF Arena in Orlando. The Golden Knights will be aiming to extend their early season success at home after starting the year 5-2 on home hardwood.
