Magic lead Suns 53-48 at the half

Despite getting off to another poor start (Phoenix scored 13 of the game's first 17 points), the Orlando Magic lead the Phoenix Suns 53-48 at halftime at the US Airways Arena.

Orlando shot 48.8% from the field (21-of-43), 44.4% from the three point line (four-of-nine) and 87.5% from the charity stripe (seven-of-eight). Phoenix shot 52.6% from the floor (20-of-38), but went just 12.5% from beyond the arc (one-of-eight) and 63.6% from the stripe (seven-of-11).

J.J. Redick scored 17 points on five-of-10 shooting off of the bench for the Magic. Redick was three-of-six from beyond the arc and a perfect four-of-four from the free throw line. He also has three assists, two rebounds and two styles in just nine minutes.

E'Twaun Moore had seven points on three-of-six shooting while rookie Andrew Nicholson had six points and five rebounds, giving the Magic's bench a 30-20 advantage in the game.

Former Magic center Marcin Gortat had eight points, four rebounds and two blocks to lead the Suns.
