After losing the lead they built in the first half midway through the third quarter, the Orlando Magic battled back, outscoring the Suns 37-23 from the 3:44 mark of the third quarter on en route to a 98-90 victory. The Magic finished their west coast road trip with a record of 3-2 and improved their overall record to 8-12. The Suns lost for the seventh straight time and are now just 8-15.
The Magic wound up shooting 51.9% (40-of-77) from the field to the Suns' 46.2% (36-of-78) and dominated the glass, outrebounding the Suns 44-29. '/
J.J. Redick had just three points in the second half, but still led all scorers with 20 points. He also dished out a game-high nine assists. Reserve point guard E'Twaun Moore scored 10 points while rookie Andrew Nicholson had a career-high 18 points and nine rebounds, including a dagger of a jumper that pushed Orlando's lead to seven with just 1:50 to play.
Shannon Brown led the Suns with 17 points on six-of-16 shooting.
The Magic will return home to take on the Atlanta Hawks Wednesday.
