Eddie Goldman Commits To Florida State Over Miami, Auburn

Eddie Goldman, ranked as a five-star recruit by most rating services, has committed to Florida State, announcing the news on television on National Signing Day 2012. Goldman, who played for Friendship Collegiate Academy (Washington, D.C.), chose the Seminoles over Auburn, Miami, and Alabama, the other finalist for his services.

Over the past few months, Goldman had considered all the major Florida schools -- Miami, Florida State, and Florida -- along with Auburn and Alabama. Recently, he had appeared to narrow his list down to Miami, FSU, and both Auburn and Alabama.

When asked what influenced his decision, Goldman cited the wide depth of talent at Florida State. As he stated, "I'm going to be surrounded by a lot of talent, and I'm just going to do my best to contribute."

Goldman was one of the top 10 talents in the nation this year, and he's widely considered the top defensive tackle. This is a huge commitment for Will Muschamp and the Seminoles, and their recruiting class is looking better and better.
