NHL Trade Rumors: Panthers Looking To Add At The Deadline

The Florida Panthers are third in the Eastern Conference, and will reportedly be buyers at the NHL Trade Deadline this year.

The NHL Trade Deadline is coming up pretty fast, and that means each team must make an important decision based on the direction their team is heading this year: Are you a buyer adding talent to your team with the hopes of making a run deep into the playoffs? Or are you selling talent to a contender, hoping to get young talent and picks back to set up a run in the future. According to Harvey Fialkov of the Sun-Sentinel, the Panthers believe that they will be buyers.

"We're not sellers,'' Tallon said. "We got five games before the deadline, so we'll know better. We got a good team, so it's a matter of adding pieces. We're moving forward from here; we're not subtracting.''

The Panthers are 27-18-11 so far on the season, which is good for third in the Eastern Conference. But their -15 goal differential has to be concerning for management. If they add some goal scorers to their team, they could be real threats in the Playoffs.
