Auburn Vs. Florida Recap: Kenny Boynton Leads Gators To Double Digit Win Over Lowly Tigers

The Florida Gators overcame some sloppy early play on Tuesday night and cruised to a 63-47 win over an overmatched Auburn Tigers team. The Gators trailed early but went on a 26-4 run to quickly take control. Florida shot better than 50 percent from behind the arc - a rate at which they'll almost always be tough to beat, even on a night when they turn it over 18 times. Kenny Boynton led the Gators with 20 points, hitting six of his nine attempts from downtown to give Florida a comfortable cushion against one of the SEC's worst teams.

The other two parts of Florida's three-headed backcourt monster chipped in 13 points each. Erving Walker hit three of seven from long-range but grabbed seven rebounds and dished five assists. Brad Beal helped out with six boards of his own. While the Gators were on fire from the floor, the Tigers could not buy a bucket in the second half, scoring just 17 points and shooting 33 percent from the floor.

The Gators now head to Athens to face the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon, looking to improve to 11-3 in the SEC.
