Dwight Howard Trade Rumors: Golden State Reportedly Continuing Pursuit Of Dwight Howard

NBA.com writer Scott Howard-Cooper is reporting that the Golden State Warriors are still in pursuit of a trade to bring the superstar forward to Oakland. Earlier this afternoon he tweeted:

"Warriors continuing push for Dwight Howard deal even without DH commitment to re-signing. Not backing off from risky move, source says."

The move would be a risky one indeed, especially with what Howard-Cooper believes the price would be.

GSW offer has to be 3-4 key pieces. Imagine moving Monta, Klay, others and DH walks.

Golden State currently sits at 13-17 and three games out of a playoff spot. Moving such key players such as Monta Ellis and Klay Thompson wouldn't make much sense just to bring Dwight Howard in for a playoff push when he wouldn't be guaranteeing resigning after his half of a season with the club.

Either way, this is an interesting development, and one worth keeping an eye on.
