Super Bowl 2012: Will There Be A Dexter Jackson This Year?

When the New York Giants and New England Patriots tangle this Sunday in the Super Bowl, most of the attention is on the superstars like Tom Brady, Eli Manning, Rob Gronkowski and Victor Cruz.

But what about the unsung heroes? Every so often, the Super Bowl provides one who steals the show and becomes an overnight sensation (Davis Tyree, anyone)?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans remember their very own unsung hero, Dexter Jackson. Free safety Dexter Jackson grabbed a pair of passes from Oakland's Rich Gannon, merely the league's 2002 MVP, in the Bucs' 48-21 romp that year.

Jackson went on to parlay his success into a free agent deal with the Arizona Cardinals before rejoining the Bucs and then finishing his career with the Cincinnati Bengals.

If you go looking for Jackson these days you'll have to look to the United Football League, where he plays for the Virginia Destroyers.
