MEAC Basketball Tournament Championship: Norfolk State Leads Bethune-Cookman 35-22 At Halftime

Pendarvis Williams has 11 points to lead all scorers as the Norfolk State Spartans lead the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats 35-22 in the MEAC Championship Game. Kyle O'Quinn added 8 points and 5 rebounds for NSU and Chris McEachin chipped in 5 points for the Spartans. Kevin Dukes and Javoris Bryant have 6 points each to lead Bethune-Cookman, who did not score in the last 6:22 of the first half.

Norfolk has used its significant size advantage to good use, outrebounding the Wildcats 21-11 in the first half, with 10 of those on the offensive end. Norfolk State's length on defense bothered Bethune-Cookman, who were 6-22 from inside the arc in the first half.

Bethune-Cookman has some foul trouble to deal with, as Kevin Dukes already has 2 fouls, while Stanley Elliot is already saddles with 3 fouls. No one on Norfolk State has more than 1 foul.
