NCAA Bracket 2012: Florida State To Play St. Bonaventure In First Round

After landing the No. 3 seed in the 2012 NCAA Tournament, the Florida State Seminoles will be playing 14-seeded St. Bonaventure to kick things off in the first round. The Seminoles earned an automatic berth on Sunday afternoon with an impressive ACC Tournament title win over North Carolina.

The Noles defeated Miami, Duke, and North Carolina in a fantastic three-day run to their first-ever ACC Championship. After a brutal week in Atlanta, Leonard Hamilton's club will get an extra day of rest before facing the Bonnies on Friday.

Like FSU, the Bonnies earned an automatic berth with an impressive Atlantic 10 Tournament championship this week in Atlantic City. They are led by legit NBA prospect and Atlantic 10 MVP Andrew Nicholson, who is a monster in the paint. Nicholson is a Canadian import who's a complete player, averaging more than 18 points a game and 8 rebounds per game. Demetrius Conger supports Nicholson, and is averaging more than 12 points per game and coming of a huge A-10 tournament performance, particularly in the semifinals against UMass. While the Seminoles enter the dance with a lot of momentum, their opponent does as well and will present a real challenge on the interior.
