2012 Transitions Championship: Leaderboard Update

Jim Furyk and Retief Goosen find themselves tied atop of the leaderboard after a pair of stellar performances in the third round of the PGA's Transitions Championship. Tomorrow's final round in Palm Harbor is shaping up to be a good one, as there are a number of players within a few shots of the leader who will be looking to make a final round surge.

Furyk, trying to rebound from an awful season in 2011, surged into the lead with a birdie on the par-3 15th hole. He fell back into a tie on the 18th hole with a three-putt bogey up a steep ridge, finishing the day with a 66.

Goosen was able to roll in three straight birdies on the back nine and closed the day with a a 6-under 65. Players chasing Fuyrk and Goosen include San-moon Bae and Jason Dufner at 10-under par, and Ken Duke and John Mallinger two back at 9-under par.

We'll have plenty more on this tournament throughout the weekend on SB Nation Tampa Bay, so keep it locked to this StoryStream for all the latest news and updates. For more information on this and every golf event, you can head over to Waggle Room, SB Nation's golf blog, or the Golf hub page.
