Just one day after suffering a crushing defeat at the hands of the Ohio Bobcats in the third round of the NCAA Tournament, South Florida guard Victor Rudd said he is planning to enter the 2012 NBA Draft but will not be hiring an agent.
↵The move puzzled many, including the folks at VooDoo Five who tried to make sense of this announcement.
↵↵↵"The only way this really makes sense to me is if Rudd is just putting his name out there to get feedback from NBA scouts on what he needs to work on so he can be drafted later. He can turn himself into an NBA-worthy player, but he has quite a ways to go right now."
↵
While Rudd has the skill to pull off highlight-reel dunks, his stats would point away from him being an NBA prospect. He averaged just 9.3 ppg this season.
↵Rudd has until April 10th to decided whether he will enter the NBA Draft or return to USF.
