Women's NCAA Tournament 2012, Baylor Vs. Florida Final Score: Brittney Griner And Bears End Gators Season

The Florida Gators entered their matchup with Baylor on Tuesday night looking to be giant-killers. The No. 1 seed Bears were the overall top seed in the 2012 Women's NCAA Tournament and ripped through the season undefeated, led by Player of the Year Brittney Griner. The Gators pulled off the five-point upset on Sunday against Ohio State, who were playing in their home state. But this was a far taller task and Baylor took care of business to advance to the Sweet 16 with a 76-57 win.

Griner finished with 25 points, 6 blocks, and nine rebounds. She was her dominant self and the Gators had no answers for her down low. But she also got a lot of help, as all five Baylor starters finished in double figures to cruise to the win. Center Azania Stewart led the Gators with 14 points but Griner was still too much in the paint. While stops were hard to come, UF shot just 32 percent from the floor and their only chance to pull off the upset was it they shot the lights out. Instead, the season ends with a 20-13 record and second-round exit.
