NCAA Tournament 2012, Florida Vs. Marquette Score: Gators Go On Run To End First Half With 6-Point Lead

After one half of their Sweet 16 matchup in the West Region, the No. 7 seed Florida Gators lead the No. 3 seed Marquette Golden Eagles, 36-30. The Florida Gators went on a 9-0 run over the final four minutes of the half to take the six-point lead into the locker room. Florida got some good looks in the first half but hit just four of 14 from behind the arc, as the three-pointers started to fall when they went on their run to close the half.

Brad Beal is the only player for Billy Donovan's club in double figures, scoring ten points and hitting two of three attempts from three-point range. Kenny Boynton and Erving Walker each added six points a piece. Marquette was led by Darius Johnson-Odom who hit two three-pointers and had eight points. Florida will look to carry over the momentum from the final four minutes into the second half to move on to the Elite 8.
