2012 Sony Ericsson Open Day 4 Update

Day four of the Sony Ericsson open is underway in Miami. Second round action is going on on both male and female brackets.

On the men's side, No. 4 ranked Andy Murray, No. 6 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, No. 9 Janko Tipsarevic, No. 13 Giles Simon and No. 22 Jurgen Melzer all won their second round matches. Still to compete this afternoon and evening include No. 2 Rafael Nadal, No. 10 John Isner and No. 7 Tomas Berdych.

On the women's side, No. 18 Angelique Kerber, No. 28 Monica Niculescu and No. 31 Kala Kanepi all lost their second round matches. No. 15 Ana Ivanovic, No. 16 Dominika Cibulkova and No. 24 Flavia Pennetta all won their second round matches. Other notable matches coming later Friday include Venus Williams against No. 3 Petra Kvitova and No. 7 Marion Bartoli against Polona Hercog.

The Sony Ericsson Open is taking place at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park in Miami, and it runs through April 1. If interested in attending, tickets are still available.
