2012 Women's NCAA Tournament Bracket And Schedule: Sweet 16 Play Wraps Up On Sunday

Sweet 16 play in the 2012 NCAA Women's tournament concludes on Sunday, with games being played in the Raleigh and Kingston regions.

In the Raleigh region, Brenda Frese and her No. 3 seed Maryland Terrapins take on No. 2 seed Texas A&M in the early game. The Terrapins, led by ACC Player of the Year Alyssa Thomas, rank second in the nation in rebounding margin, grabbing 14 more boards per game than their opponents. The late game matches No. 1 seed Notre Dame against No. 5 seed St. Bonaventure.

In the Kingston region, the early game will see Geno Auriemma and his No. 1 seed UConn Huskies take on the No. 4 seed Penn State. This is Penn State's first appearance in the Sweet 16 since 2004 and first under fifth-year coach Coquese Washington, a former assistant coach at Notre Dame under Muffet McGraw. The late contest pits upset-minded No. 11 seed Gonzaga versus No. 2 seed Kentucky.
