Following Friday night's 100-98 loss to the Dallas Mavericks, the Orlando Magic have now lost two straight games and find their chances of catching the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference's Southeast division to be slim at best. With just 14 games left in this strike shortened season, Orlando's record is 32-20. While this is still good enough for second place in the Southeast division, they are six games behind the front running Heat.
The Magic currently hold the third spot in the overall Eastern Conference playoff standings, but there are a number of teams right behind them. Teams such as the Indiana Pacers (30-20), Atlanta Hawks (31-22), and Boston Celtics (29-22) are all on Orlando's heels and each is pushing hard to improve their playoff positioning down the stretch.
Orlando will look to break their current two game slide and maintain their slim lead in the playoff standings over their conference foes when they take on the Denver Nuggets (28-24) tomorrow evening at the Amway Center.
