Celtics Vs. Heat Score Update: Boston Surges To 8-Point Halftime Lead

The Miami Heat have lost only three games home this season, but they're looking to avoid their second loss in the past three games at American Airlines Arena on Tuesday night against the Boston Celtics. The Celts really controlled the Heat last week in Boston, and they jumped out to 65-57 halftime lead in South Florida. Boston hit a ridiculous 70 percent from behind the arc in the first half, while shooting 62 percent from the field overall to score nearly 70 points in 24 minutes. Paul Pierce led Boston with 16 points while Kevin Garnett added 12 on the interior.

Miami's been no slouch on the offensive end themselves, shooting 60 percent from three and better than 50 percent from the floor. As usual, Dwyane Wade and LeBron James dominated for Miami. Wade hit seven of 11 attempts from the floor for 16 points while James scored a game-high 18 points in the first half. Shane Battier and James Jones chipped in off the bench, with each win hitting a pair of triples to force Boston to defend at the arc. But the highlight was made by both James and Wade, who hooked up with yet another fantastic alley-oop. This time, it was give-and-go variety with James hitting Wade on the wing and then Wade putting up and instant touch lob that 23 emphatically slammed home. Video below:
