Stan Van Gundy: Offensive Numbers Better Since Dwight Howard Has Been Out

The Orlando Magic won their second game in as many days on Monday night, with an efficient and effective offensive performance against the Philadelphia 76ers. Playing without Dwight Howard and Glen Davis on the interior, the Magic had six players in double figures and shot better than 53 percent from the field. The Magic rode a 40-point second quarter to a 13-point win. After the game, Stan Van Gundy made some noteworthy comments about his team's improved offensive production with their All-Star franchise center out of the lineup. Via Charlie Bernstein:

After last week's bizarre press conference, those comments from Van Gundy will surely raise some eyebrows around the NBA and in Orlando.
