The New York Jets were the first team to turn down being featured on Hard Knocks, HBO's football reality series, and now it seems the Atlanta Falcons have declined to be the featured team on the show as well. For the Jets, it would've been their second time being featured on the show and Atlanta's first.
However, the New York and Atlanta vetoes could now potentially make the Jacksonville Jaguars frontrunners to be the main feature of the show for the 2012 season after reportedly volunteering.
After four consecutive disappointing seasons, the Jags could certainly use the attention. They're both an afterthought in the AFC South and a perennial bottom feeder in the NFL, so maybe the show could be exactly what the team needs to draw attention to themselves since their on-field play hasn't been able to do it.
