Magic Vs. Jazz: Orlando Looks To Finish Strong Without Dwight Howard

Orlando presses on without the services of their All-Star, Dwight Howard.

Presswire

Tonight's matchup with the Utah Jazz will be the Orlando Magic's first since receiving confirmation that their superstar big man, Dwight Howard is done for the regular season and the NBA Playoffs after undergoing surgery to repair a herniated disc in his lower back.

It's yet another twist in the constant and non-stop drama that has swirled around Orlando Magic since the beginning of this lockout shortened season. The team so far, has gone 3-5 without their star.

The Utah Jazz are looking to gain an edge in the race for the Western Conference's final Playoff spot. They're currently tied with the Phoenix Suns for eighth place in the standings and are coming off back-to-back victories against the Dallas Mavericks in triple OT and the Portland Trailblazers.

Utah's backs are against the wall and can't afford too many losses.
