Heat Vs. Wizards: Dwyane Wade Injures Finger In 86-84 Loss To Washington

For the most part, the Big Three didn’t play on Saturday, and the Miami Heat suffered as a result, falling to the visiting Washington Wizards, 86-84.

Miami opted to rest both LeBron James and Chris Bosh with the playoffs set to begin next week and with the Chicago Bulls in clear position to secure the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. Looking back on it, perhaps it should have rested Dwyane Wade, too. Wade dislocated his left index finger less than three minutes into the game and never returned.

As a result, the Heat trailed by eight points at halftime, and despite a second-half comeback of sorts, still fell just short. They had previously won five straight games.

Mike Miller and Mario Chalmers led the team in scoring with 16 apiece.
