The Orlando Magic could not get stops in the final quarter at the Palace of Auburn Hills on Tuesday night as the Detroit Pistons walked away with a 102-95 win. Playing without Dwight Howard and Ryan Anderson, the Magic kept it close throughout but the Pistons hit their shots down the stretch to pull away.
With both Anderson and Howard out, Glen Davis got plenty of shots in the frontcourt and had his best scoring game since joined the Magic. He finished with 31 points and 10 rebounds, most importantly hitting eight of ten free-throws . But the Magic simply did not have enough punch on the inside, and were out-rebounded by 15 as Detroit had their way in the paint. Center Greg Monroe finished with 22 points and 11 rebounds for the Pistons.
The Magic now have a day off before hosting the New York Knicks at Amway Center on thursday night.
