Marlins Vs. Diamondbacks Final Score: Struggles Continue As Fish Fall 9-5

For the second day in a row, the Miami Marlins lost a lopsided affair to the Arizona Diamondbacks. Mark Buehrle and the defense behind him struggled en route to a 9-5 loss. That ends a four-game home series in which the Marlins managed just one win.

Three errors, including Omar Infante's second of the season, added four unearned runs to the four earned runs lefty Mark Buehrle surrendered. That staked Arizona to a 7-0 lead in the fifth inning, a day after the Marlins allowed their opponents an eight-run head start.

Left fielder Austin Kearns hit his second home run of the season in the seventh inning, driving in two runs. Donnie Murphy added a 2-run homer in the game. Despite a small rally in the middle of the game that closed the gap to just two runs, the Marlins offense had no answers for the back of the Diamondbacks bullpen.

Arizona knocked around the struggling Heath Bell. The Marlins closer allowed two runs in the final frame.

This was the eighth loss in nine game for the Marlins, who should be battling for the National League East title this season. After Monday's getaway game, the Marlins start a three-game set in San Francisco on Tuesday night.
