Fla. International Golden Panthers head coach Isiah Thomas was fired on Thursday, ending his three year tenure at the school. During that span, Thomas went 26-65 as head coach. Thomas does not appear to be too broken up about this decision according to a tweet from Sports Illustrated's Chris Mannix.
No surprise Isiah Thomas is out at FIU. People who have talked to him describe his interest in program as half hearted. He wants back in NBA

The major problem with Isiah trying to get another job in the NBA is that he has a below average track record as an NBA coach having been the head man for the Indiana Pacers and the New York Knicks. Although he made the playoffs in the three seasons he coached the Pacers, his time with the Knicks was marred with bad personnel decisions, such as trading several eventual lottery picks to the Chicago Bulls for Eddy Curry.
