Boston College Leads Ferris State 2-1 At End Of First Period

The Boston College Eagles put the pressure on Ferris State’s goaltender Taylor Nelson early and found the back of the net at 3:18 when Steven Whitney scored his 15th goal of the season. Minutes later though, the Bulldogs tied up the game when Travis Ouellette’s shot went passed Parker Milner. Oullette’s shot was Ferris State’s second shot of the game.

Both teams traded chances but Ferris State could not get it out of the zone. At 10:33, Boston College capitalized on the man advantage when Paul Carey redirected a shot from Brian Dumoulin at the point.

The Bulldogs didn’t let a one goal lead phase them, they continued to put the pressure on the Eagles. Ferris State left wing Garrett Thompson had a shot in the waning seconds of the first period and was simply robbed by Milner, giving the Eagles a 2-1 lead at the end of the first period.

Shots at the end of the period were seven for Ferris State and eight for Boston College.
