2012 Frozen Four: Boston College Defeats Ferris State 4-1 To Win Championship

Saturday night in front of over 18,000 fans at Tampa Bay Times Forum, the Boston College Eagles (33-10-1) defeated the Ferris State Bulldogs 4-1, winning the 2012 Frozen Four Championship and the fifth title overall for the Eagles. It is Boston College's third national championship in the last five years.

This was Ferris State's first appearance in the championship game in school history. The game was closer than the score indicated, as Ferris Sate (26-12-5) had chances they failed to capitalize on, and tournament most outstanding player Parker Milner was outstanding between the pipes for the Eagles.

Milner made 27 saves against the Bulldogs, and allowed just 21 goals over the 19-game winning streak that closed the season for Boston College. The Eagles defeated their postseason opponents by a cumulative score of 16-2. Boston College now has won the national title in 2008, 2010 and 2012.
