Masters 2012 Purse: Bubba Watson Takes Home Top Prize And Top Winnings

The 2012 Masters featured intense action and ferocious competition. After Louis Oosthuizen was able to hold off for most of the final round on Sunday, Bubba Watson finally caught up to him. Watson matched Oosthuizen's 10-under at the end of 72 holes, forcing a playoff. On the second sudden-death playoff hole, Oosthuizen bogeyed and Watson was able to take his time and make par.

In addition to the green jacket, Watson takes home the largest purse of any competitor in the tournament. He earned over a half-million dollars more than Oosthuizen will receive for his second-place finish. The third-place quartet of Lee Westwood, Phil Mickelson, Peter Hanson and Matt Kuchar will all take home over a quarter-million dollars each for their 8-under finishes after four round of play.
