Indy 500 2012 Qualifying, Pole Day: Start Time, Radio, TV Schedule And More

Indianapolis Motor Speedway comes alive Saturday as qualifying begins for next weekend's Indianapolis 500. This is the second year of the revised Pole Day format, in which the first segment of divers are given an opportunity to qualify, with the top 24 speeds landing in the 33-car grid for the 500. Each car is given up to three qualifying attempts to notch their top speed. The top nine fastest drivers then advance to the second segment of qualifying.

The final 90 minutes of Saturday will see the nine fastest drivers making one final four-lap attempt, with the fastest driver landing the pole for next week's Indianapolis 500.

Where: 2.5-mile Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Speedway, Indiana

When: Saturday, May 19, 11:00 a.m. ET

TV: NBC Sports Network (11:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. ET)
