Matt Moore (1-4, 5.20 ERA) has struggled so far this year, but he'll look to rebound tonight as he leads the Tampa Bay Rays at home against fellow rookie starter Drew Hutchison (3-1, 4.81) and the Toronto Blue Jays in game two of a three-game series. Last night's 2-0 victory over the Rays (25-18) pulled the Blue Jays (24-19) to within one game of their division rivals, who are currently in second place in the AL East behind the Baltimore Orioles (27-16).
Moore has lost his last three outings, while Hutchison has won his last two starts. Neither Moore nor Hutchison have ever pitched against the Blue Jays or the Rays, respectively. The Rays will hope their 22-year-old starter can get them out their current mini-funk, as they've gone 1-4 in their last five games.
