ACC Baseball Tournament 2012, N.C. State Vs. Miami Final: Hurricanes Lose 3-2 On Walk-Off Walk

The Miami Hurricanes opened up first-round play in the 2012 ACC Baseball Tournament with a match up against the N.C. State Wolfpack. Miami came into the tournament as the No. 6 overall seed, taking on the higher seeded Wolfpack.

The Hurricanes took an early lead in the game in the top of the sixth inning, scoring two runs. Dale Carey got it started with a double and then later scored on a two-run home run by outfielder Chantz Mack. N.C. State answered in the bottom of the inning, cutting the lead in half to 2-1.

In the bottom of the ninth inning however, the Hurricanes couldn't close it out. With the bases loaded up and the game tied 2-2, reliever Eric Nedeljkovic walked in the game winning run as Miami loses in the first round 3-2.
