The Miami Marlins were attempting to pull the sweep on the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday evening, having won the first two games in the series but couldn't pull off the sweep going down to the Rockies 8-4. The Marlins jumped out to an early 3-0 lead after the first few innings, but the Rockies held tight and rallied late.
Thanks to a three-run fourth inning, the Rockies tied the game. The Marlins took the lead in the bottom of the inning, but the Rockies tied the game and then took a three-run lead thanks to a three-run homerun by shortstop Troy Tulowitzki to take a 7-4 lead. Colorado held on to win by the final score of 8-4.
