After dropping their ACC tournament opener to No. 3 North Carolina State, 3-2, the No. 6 Miami Hurricanes will need to bounce back against No. 2 North Carolina (3:00 p.m.) in order to avoid elimination. UNC took down No. 7 Wake Forest in their first game yesterday, 6-0.
The Hurricanes swept the Tar Heels back in early April when they faced off in Coral Gables. Miami won all three games by a combined score of 16-3. Win or lose, they'll have one more game on Friday against Wake Forest.
Top-seeded Florida State dropped their first game, 5-4, to No. 8 Georgia Tech. The Seminoles don't play again until Friday.
All ACC tournament games are being played at NewBridge Bank Park in Greensboro, N.C., and they will all be televised by CSN Mid-Atlantic and streamed online at ESPN3.
