2012 Conference USA Baseball Tournament Final Score: UAB Overpowers UCF, 15-1

Day two of the Conference USA Baseball Tournament didn't exactly go smoothly for UCF. Playing their first game of the tournament, the Knights certainly ran into a bit of trouble, surrendering 17 hits in a 15-1 loss to the No. 7-seeded UAB Blazers, dropping to 0-1 in pool play.

UCF, the No. 2 seed in Pool B, will face East Carolina tomorrow at Trustmark Park in Pearl, Miss., at 3 p.m. EST.

On Thursday, it did manage to keep it close early, trailing 2-1 after four innings. But then, the Blazers added 13 runs over the remaining five innings on seven hits, six walks, three wild pitches, two passed balls, two errors and a hit batter. Suffice to say, they struggled.

And that was more than enough for UAB starter Michael Busby, who kept UCF in check, allowing three hits and one run over eight innings.
